The Art of the Smart Phone...and Apps
Last Updated 10/31/2011 12:19:20 PM

Mobile usage is on the rise. According to a recent PEW Survey over 50% of American adults own a smart phone. What does that mean to your business? How are you preparing to handle the change? Do you need an app or should you just make your website mobile-friendly? What apps could your business be utilizing? In this webinar we hope to answer these questions and more and get you thinking about your mobile strategy.
Chad Feldmann and Kate Washut are partners at Far Reach technologies. Each has over 10 years of programing and web development experience.
Far Reach Technologies specializes in .NET development and provides a range of software development services including website design, rich internet applications, and complex database design. Over the past year, Far Reach has delved into the mobile space having designed, developed, and/or supported several mobile applications on all three major platforms including the Android and Windows Phone 7 Dwolla apps. Understanding the increasing importance of mobile technologies, Far Reach has spent considerable time researching this area and putting together a strategic plan for addressing it.
Kate does a little bit of everything at Far Reach. From sales to human resources to project management to official Far Reach shopper. In other words, she d oes the stuff no one else wants to do. Just kidding! Every once in a while she gets lucky and is able to do some actual development, which she finds to be a refreshing change and great for keeping her head, at least a little bit, in the technical side of things so she actually knows what she's talking about when talking to clients.
Chad's a busy guy. From managing our server environment to project management and hard core web development, he covers a lot of ground. He's also big on giving back to the community, which we think is great and heartily encourage. When he's not working or volunteering, he's watching the Bears or Hawkeyes play football or hanging out with his Parrothead pals listening to Jimmy Buffet, drinking something from a coconut with an umbrella in it.
