Well it has been some time since I have last written a blog. I got heckled yesterday so here it goes. Since my last blog I have
taken a vacation to Las Vegas, attended EntreFest! (which in my book was a huge success) made an offer on a house and am now playing the waiting game, celebrated my nephews first birthday, ventured to Davenport to visit my best friend, went to Tipton and helped my Dad on the farm, discovered my roommate got a job in Minnesota, and went on a shopping spree.
In my eyes the economy is looking pretty good, but I bet my pocket book says the opposite. Traveling, shopping, buying a house, having a successful conference when other conferences are struggling and my roommate getting a stellar job! But is the economy really looking up or am I just on cloud nine?

So it leads me to wonder what life will be like for my nephew when he is my age. In 24 years will he be able to go on a vacation or will plane tickets be so ridiculous that he won’t be able to afford one? What will the job market be like? Will he decide to be an entrepreneur and take over his Dad’s electrical and welling business? Will his job be completely technology related? Will he be able to travel across the state to visit friends or even better yet me? With gas prices always fluctuating how much will it cost to fill up the gas tank? Will he even be lucky enough to have a car to road trip? Will he get an $8,000 tax credit for buying a house to help boost the economy or will the economy be stable?
In 8th grade we had to write predictions for when we graduated high school. At that time I was in my own little hometown world and didn’t think about the bigger picture. I was more worried about if there was going to be a golf course just up the road from my parents house, would my parents have a new house, what would the cost of a Glamour Magazine be, and how small would a cell phone be. Now 8 years later (wow 8th grade was forever ago) I’m starting to broaden my thoughts and I’m ready to see what the next 24 years bring!
